The program’s visionary, first lady, Michele Dix, presented the Words of commitment to the Daughters of Destiny (ages 13-17) as they publicly declared their commitment to celibacy until marriage as their parents, facilitators and peers watched and celebrated. Parents and guardians of J.E.W.E.L.S. (ages 6-12) presented their daughters with bracelets and necklaces that read “purity.”

Parents of the Daughters of Destiny, helped to seal their daughter’s commitment by placing a ring on their finger that read “I’ll wait.”  Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.

The eight-week program was under the leadership of Jasmine Crenshaw who presented certificates of completion.  The curriculum focuses on purity through the mind, body, and spirit.
