Matthew 25:14 - 21

Pastor Dix began the first Morning Glory Service of 2008 excited about the new year, because we are about to experience God in a whole new way!  As Kingdom ambassadors, we must change our culture to "The Eagle Culture," which is a whole new set of beliefs in which we do things.  In 2008 we must ask ourselves, "what we are going to do with the time and resources that God has already blessed us with?"

Pastor is convinced that God is going to do two things to show forth his Glory in 2008:

  1. God will release a revelation of His word in the Next Dimension context (that ever expanding realm of abundant power, glory and provision), and Light bulbs will be coming on as we read and study God's word.
  2. God will release a windfall.  What God is going to do will be massive that we will feel His presence. (John 10:10)

There are five criteria that must be met for us to position ourselves in this " Eagle Culture:"

  1. Pull down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4)
  2. Bind the strongman
  3. Delcare and expect the promises of God. (Speak in faith)
  4. Live righteously - (Living as God has called us to live)
  5. Develop a Kingdom mentality - (A mindset where we live as stewards, understanding that everything we have belongs to God and we're just given charge of it until Jesus' return.

In closing, Pastor George reminded us of the importance of fasting and praying all the more in 2008.

Quote of the sermon:  "I'd rather die than to let God down." - Pastor George B. Dix Jr.
