Sunday Morning Glory

Sr. Pastor George

Matthew 28:18-20
John 3:14-16

Jesus introduced the Kingdom of God.  He explained to humanity what the Kingdom of God was and He paid the price for the Kingdom! There is no other way to enter into eternal life except by Him.

God wanted to commune and fellowship with His creation and because of Adam’s sin, we do not have the relationship with God that He intended. Therefore God was on a mission to reconcile our relationship with Him, Jesus mission to save man from eternal damnation.  Jesus had one sermon and that was Repent for the Kingdom of God is at Hand- at hand means near.  Since Jesus was and is the King the Kingdom is here. Jesus was on a mission to introduce the Kingdom and He paid the price.  God wants to be known in the world and He will do it by being in us, thru the life we live, by the light that shines in Us.  People ought to know God by seeing Him in us, they should feel His presence simply by being near us!

Because Jesus died and got up with all power(authority) in His hands that gives us the ability to operate in authority. We need to preach more of what God says.  We must proclaim what God said!!!! 8:44!!!!  If it is good enough to proclaim in the church then it is good enough to proclaim to the World!

We have a purpose; We were created by God and there was no mistake made, regardless of how we got here.  Our mission is pretty much the same as Jesus’.

Jesus had 3 commandments

  1. Go - Matthew 28:19; move, travel, proceed, put forth in action a command.  Teaching (Greek translation) as found in verse 19 means make disciples, which is a disciplined and learned follower who is disciplined to follow the doctrine of another.  The altar is the first step to the command Go!!!
  2. Baptize - in the NAME of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit- Baptism is a public display of an inward confession/commitment!

The devil does not want us to do that!  He wants us to keep it.  Baptism symbolizes what Jesus did, it represents the triune God, we acknowledge that we believe in God, the Father, God-the Son and God-the Holy Spirit.
  3. Teach - them to observe all things that God has commanded(to instruct).  Teach others what God has taught us so they, too, can live a godly life! It is about teaching others to walk the life.

The Kingdom of God is not a place, it is the influence of God carried forth in the Earth in the heart of Man, It is God’s love, presence and Spirit of an almighty God having place on the Earth because of the believer.

God does not send anyone to Hell, if anyone goes it is because of the choice that they made!
