Study of Romans - (Foundational & Fundamental to the Christian Walk)

We want the power of God in us so we are growing daily.  This is a process, every one is at different levels. If you fall, get up, ask God for forgiveness, confess your sin.

The book of Romans tells us how to live a victorious, renewed & rejuvenated life.  It is a spirit thing!  We need to be led by the Spirit not just our hearts and minds.  Be careful about the access doors you allow the enemy to come in!  Every aspect He can gain to get in your life He will! He wants to inhabit your Spirit, live in you, and manifest himself at times that may surprise you!  Be careful about what we let into our heart!

When you have supernatural power, it is better than having a million dollars in my account.

It is good to know who you are and have NOTHING to prove!  Sooner or later we have to rise up and know who we are!  We can do all things thru Christ that strengthens us!

Romans is summarized in the them of chapter 1 verses 16-17 memorize these verses if not both at least verse 16.

The Book of Romans is divided into three parts

  1. Chapters 1-8- Sinner’s redemption, the plan of salvation.  The revelation of righteousness.  It reveals what the righteousness of God is.
  2. Chapters 9-11- The Jews rejection, the past election (elected as God’s chosen people) current rejection and future restoration.
  3. Chapters 12-16- The Christian experience- talks about the application of the righteousness of God. The freedom and the power of the believer.

The closer you get to God the greater the challenge but God will give you what you need to survive.  The greater the adversity, the greater the grace.

God has an awesome plan that EXCEEDS this life!  So if we do not get what we want in this life that should not be our ultimate concern.  We need to see ourselves as one precious in the sight of God.

The book of Romans begins with man in sin and ends with man in Christ.

Key points of Romans

  1. The Gospel is God’s power of deliverance.  The sovereign plan of salvation. There is no other way by which man can and will be saved!  Start taking God’s Word right off the top, take it for what it is and what He said! Don’t doubt, believe

    1 Corinthians 1:18-29;
    2 Corinthians 4:3-7
  2. God offers the gift of righteousness to everyone who comes to Christ by faith and His wrath against sin.  God has a penalty and we will pay if we live in sin.

Impute - offer, ascribe to you, assign to you, transformation.  Matthew 5:20

The righteousness of God - He transforms the life of the believer by giving them God’s righteousness and it only comes by faith.

Pastor’s Note:  You will not be able to get everything from this series on CD, there are going to be moments where God’s Spirit is going to rest upon us during this study in the service.  The study of Romans is fundamental to the believer and one you do not want to miss.  Make your way to be in the House to receive the awesome message God has for us thru this series.
