PASSAGE Family Church launches its $100,000 Education Enrichment Initiative to assist Alachua County Public SchoolsGainesville, FL, September 11, 2007: PASSAGE Family Church, under the leadership of Pastor George & Lady Michele Dix, continues to make a phenomenal impact in our community – Reaching people where they are!!! On September 18, 2007 PASSAGE will launch its Education Enrichment Initiative, which will make available ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00) to designated high needs schools in Alachua County Public Schools. Additionally, PASSAGE is partnering with the school system to supply tutors, mentors and other resources to raise academic achievement. Church leaders will kick off the Education Enrichment Initiative with a special presentation during the School Board meeting, which begins at 6:00 PM at the Kirby Smith Center, 620 East University Avenue. ![]() PASSAGE Family Church's Education Enrichment team with the principals of Metcalfe and Rawlings Elementary PASSAGE Family Church believes in children and takes seriously its role in their education through encouraging parental involvement, financial support and prayer. “We certainly appreciate the commitment that Pastor and Lady Dix and the congregation at PASSAGE have made to our schools,” said Superintendent Dan Boyd. “They have set a wonderful example for the entire community.” Pastor Dix says, “Children are a gift from God.” |
