Victorious Spiritual Warfare

Genesis 4: 1-7
Ephesians 4:27, 6:10-12

As Christians living Godly lives we need not be fooled by Satan’s devices.  It’s easy to run, preach and sing in the presences of believers, but we need to be armed and understand that Satan is defeated has but He has NOT surrendered!

Satan is a real spirit operating in the spirit realm and He is the god of this world.  As we face opposition and challenges we must realize that the Devil has influence behind the scenes with an ulterior motive to tear us completely down!

Satan has three key motives:

  1. Keep you out of the will of God
  2. Join forces with him
  3. Take you to hell

And the Devil is not satisfied with anything short of us ending up in hell with him. To confuse Satan believers must have an “I will anyway” and an “I’ll still serve you” attitude!  For instance, if God doesn’t take our sons or daughters off crack, or save our children we must be committed to serve God!

As we learn the meanings of the strongman (the presence of demonic and evil spirits), strongholds (nest of evil spirits) and the Jezebel spirit (influencing and controlling minds and nations) we have to learn not to open the door to Satan when facing adversities.

In closing, Pastor Dix described one of the key ways that the door is left open:

  • Inherited weaknesses/curses (Generational curses can be broken).

The only way to defeat the enemy is NOT to give him a foothold!

Quote of the sermon:

"Satan seeks to find an open door." - Pastor George Dix, Jr.

In closing Pastor Dix stressed the importance of spiritually positioning ourselves to hear from God so that we may commune with Him daily.

Quote of the sermon:

"You can’t casually read God’s Word and get a full understanding of what God is saying." - Pastor George B. Dix, Jr.
