"Forever
changed..." PASSAGE Ministries, Inc. (PASSAGE Family Church) is a bible-based non-denominational church and community outreach organization. Senior Pastor and President, George Dix, Jr. and wife Lady Michele Dix founded PASSAGE in early 2002 in Gainesville, FL. PASSAGE was born out of a vision to enrich people's lives, their families and their communities through a Christ-centered interactive approach. We call this: "reaching people where they are".
PASSAGE convened its first church service and outreach initiatives on March 3rd, 2002 in northwest Gainesville in the Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel and Conference Center. After nine (9) months of consistent and stable growth, PASSAGE relocated, acquired ten acres of land and contracted to purchase an existing 700-seat church and education center. In a two-year period, PASSAGE grew from twelve to four-hundred plus partners. During this period, PASSAGE launched and sustained several outreach ministries and programs, including Homeless Care, Feed the Children, Prison & Jail Outreach, Adult Literacy, Teen Development, School Supplies Assistance, a Study Laboratory, Convalescent Care, transportation for needy families and more. Throughout its brief history, PASSAGE, in conjunction with other agencies, hosted and/or supported a number of charitable events, including providing volunteers, funding and meeting space.
In June of 2003, PASSAGE launched a daily radio broadcast reaching tens
of thousands of listners in North Central Florida. Also during the summer
of 2003, PASSAGE partnered with Santa Fe Community College and other area
churches to formulate strategies and work plans to enhance economically
disadvantaged sectors of Gainesville and surrounding communities. Santa
Fe Community College was instrumental in equipping a PASSAGE computer lab
through this partnership.
The PASSAGE vision includes, among other things, constructing and operating a modern, technologically advanced campus that accommodates church, family and community outreach operations. In pursuit of this divinely inspired vision, the leadership and partners of PASSAGE will unyieldingly seek to build and promote viable business partnerships with other faith-based, business and service organizations.
The core of PASSAGE's history and future is built with a keen focus and commitment to Kingdom Work. Reaching people where they are... for a better tomorrow and eternity.
Interior Renovation of the Main Sanctuary Completed! It's been almost 3 years in the making but we've finally finished! Thanks to your consistent and generous giving, as of Saturday, December 17th, 2006, our interior renovation of the main sanctuary has been completed with the replacement of the pews and pulpit.
Click here to see a picture of what the sanctuary and altar USED to look like when we first moved in back in 2002.
The renovation project began back in 2004 with the repainting of the interior. Then as the months progressed we've been able to accomplish the following:

In addition to the renovations to the Main Sanctuary, we've been making improvements all over the PASSAGE campus. From the creation of the "Clothes Closet", to the improvements to the classrooms, restrooms, Fellowship Hall and Administrative Offices, we've been working hard at being good stewards of the facility God has blessed us with.
Thank you all so much for your consistent and generous giving. The best is yet to come!
