"First Things First: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and into The Kingdom
Zone (Part 1)"
Pastor Dix sent us soaring higher on Sunday, January 8, 2006
with his inspirational message entitled "First Things First. Get Out of
Your Comfort Zone and into the Kingdom Zone." (Genesis
1:1 ; Genesis
12:1-3)
During his power-packed sermon Pastor Dix revealed that power and abundance
await those who soar high enough to reach the NEXT DIMENSION. To reach the
NEXT DIMENSION we must pursue God with a SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE and pursue
Him with EVERYTHING within our fiber! Pastor Dix said there are five things
we must do in 2006 to receive all that God has for us:
- Stop ignoring God.
- Check your way of thinking. Make sure God is first in everything you do; your finances, health, marriage and relationships.
- Stop at nothing but His word. Listen to what God is saying and walk in obedience and faith.
- Synchronize your time with God's timing! When God says move, MOVE
- Get out of your comfort zone and into God's zone!
Lastly, make sure that when you look into the mirror, after each experience
you have with God you see GROWTH!

"First Things First: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and into The Kingdom
Zone (Part 2)"
Like Abram, Pastor wants each of us to stretch out and do something other
than the status quo or as Pastor puts it "the same 'ole, same 'ole" (Genesis
12:1-3).
Pastor Dix declared that in 2006 we would embark on a divinely ordered
Kingdom journey! During our journey, we must realize that it's all about
God's vision for our lives, NOT ours! This journey that we are embarking
on requires that we stay diligent and persistent with God. We must not waiver
but either be hot or cold (Revelation.
3:14-15).
Pastor urged each of us to STOP being lukewarm, which keeps us comfortably
in our comfort zone. When we stay in our place of comfort we are yielding
to the devil; who keeps us bogged down in fear, doubt and self-defeat, which
ultimately keeps us from operating in faith.
Pastor Dix instructed each of us to "suit up" for the race ahead by lacing
up our sneakers! This mere act of faith prepares us for our Godly appointed
destination that reveals the plan that God has for each of our lives (Jeremiah:
29).
When we are ready to experience "Next Dimension Flight"
we must apply three very important principles to our lives daily:
- Make God our first priority. We make God our first priority by having a holy indifference about things outside of God!
- Hear the Lord and Obey Him.
- Walk by Faith and Trust Him.
Lastly, we must remember that "trusting God isn't putting on the parachute but jumping out of the plane."

"First Things First: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and into The Kingdom Zone (Part 3)"
Pastor Dix sent us soaring even higher during a continuation of his series
entitled “First Things First… Get Out of Your Comfort
Zone and into the Kingdom Zone.” (Part III) (Genesis
12: 1-3).
Leaving a familiar place is never easy. At some point we all grow up and
leave home to begin a life of our own. We often reside in a particular area
for various reasons, which may include our jobs, family, low crime or great
schools.
Pastor George explained that Abram was instructed by God to leave his familiar
place (kinfolk and all) and head to Haran. God promised Abram a couple of
things contingent upon his obedience and faith.
God said once Abram arrived in Haran He would make Abram a great
nation, He would make Abram’s name great
and He would bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse
thee (Genesis
12: 2-3)… Isn’t it good to know that God’s got
your back! Not only did God lead Abram to a place but gave it to him! Think
about it. Abram could have come up with a number of excuses for staying
where he was, especially since he was 75-years-old, but we know all too
well that age is “truly nothing” but a number in the eyes of
God. Remember Sarah and Abraham who conceived a son well beyond their child
bearing years? (Genesis
18:11)
Pastor Dix reminded us that it’s Satan’s duty to impart fear,
doubt and disbelief into our minds to thwart the plan that God has for us.
Satan’s tactics are designed to keep us in our comfort zone and far
out of reach of the Kingdom Zone. Pastor Dix said God has a special plan
for our lives and if we could get a small glimpse of what God is trying
to do we’ll RUN with EXCITEMENT! We must remember that as ambassadors
for Christ, we CANNOT afford to forget that nothing is insurmountable for
God and that everything we do should be about Kingdom expansion! Lastly,
Pastor Dix reminded us to give God our first fruits; thereby, arising early
to pray (Mark
1:35). During this sacred hour of prayer we should bind up the
hands of the strongman and take all of our worries, fears and hopes to God
in prayer.
Quote of the sermon:
“If you think that you can do it yourself,
you’re not coming close to what God can do!” - Pastor George

"First Things First: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and into The Kingdom
Zone (Part 4)"
Pastor Dix sent us soaring once again with Part IV of his series entitled
"First Things First. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and into the Kingdom
Zone." (Genesis
12: 1-3).
Pastor Dix revealed that many of us are sleeping with the enemy. known
as the comfort zone. During Pastor Dix's sermon, he characterized the comfort
zone as being a place where people do what feels good to them and NOT what
God is calling them to. The comfort zone makes us passive Christians, where
almost anything goes and mediocrity is the norm. It is a place of familiarity
and you are the center of attention and not God. This mindset sickens God.
The word of God clearly explains that when were neither hot nor cold, like
the church of Laodicea, (Revelation
3:15-16) it makes God sick to His stomach . so sick that He would
"Spew thee out of His mouth."
Pastor Dix pointed to those in the bible who God admonished to get out
of their comfort zones; they included Jonah, Moses, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and
of course You. We must no longer approach our Christian walk with a lackadaisical
spirit, but with enthusiasm to build God's Kingdom! Pastor Dix said that
our goal should be to enter into the "straight gate" (Luke
13:22-30).
To enlist in God's army we must take off "the old man and put on the new
man" by transforming our hearts, thoughts and actions. The word of God explains
"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old thing are
passed away; behold all things are become new." (2
Corinthians 5:17). So go ahead, release your PAST! The battle is
not yours, it's the Lord's (2
Chronicles 20:12, 15)! Lastly, Pastor Dix encouraged each us to
move beyond our comfort zones and expect a life changing experience.

God didn't save us for "do nothing-ism." - Pastor George Dix Jr.
