The Family that Prays LEG 

This group is led by Karen Camps Alford @ 352-359-4099 and meets ONLINE & IN-PERSON on Thursday at 12:00 AM.

"The Family That Prays" This group has an objective of holding the Family accountable to praying with their family on a regular basis (to be determined by the prayer leader - daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly...).

The audience is hopefully every partner is connected to their family prayer leader.  The purpose is to get families together (virtually or in person) to pray.  If we start this at home it can spread abroad.  

Ideally the prayer leader or appointed prayer leader for that session will start off with a scripture referencing prayer or the scripture that is in their heart.  As we expand prayer to our families, this expands prayer to many including those who need physical, mental or other needs.  This allows us to pray with our family members who have accepted Jesus and those who have not.  

They might not come to the church, but we can take prayer to them wherever they are, far and near.  With prayer we can take the message to our family as well as the streets,  spreading the "Good News!"

Scripture: "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2 (There are additional scriptures in this chapter that applies and we encourage all prayer leaders to meditate Colossians 4.) Colossians 3:18-21 outlines the order of the family for those married.  However, there is room for prayer for single, divorced and separated parents as well.
